Yes, but you realize that most children in Japan have a relatively decent
mastery of the English language by the time they hit high school.

He's
obviously behind his peers, seeing as he needs to cheat in order to get through

And he has a relatively decent mastery of English for someone in high school
(English is very different to Japanese). I'm not sure where you are from, but I
had the experience that most high school kids don't have a more "decent
mastery" of foreign languages than he has. When we had exchange students in
11th grade from the USA, they barely could speak German even though they had
learned it for some years.

looking at his paper I don't see any signs of Hiragana, I would think he is
Chinese.

By the way, "mastery of the English language by the time they
hit high school" that is over exaggerating! If you say they mastered it, it
means by your meaning of grade 5 English for the rest of their lives. And
people that speak English here and that have mastered the language, talking
about at a native level, that would be less than .5% of the population.

only come very close to it. But that means A LOT of practice. And anyway, this

It's too bad none of those would work for me. We aren't allowed to bring
anything but a pencil and a pen into the exam room. iPod's and phones are
DEFINATELY never allowed, in fact they aren't even allowed in the class normally
=(
Why are they so strict..its like they dont want us to cheat or
something...which it dumb cause if kids in their classes got better marks people
would think they were better teachers.

Cheating is a natural happening in the world. I cheat when I am in my university
(Singapore) doing practical work where i do not have any interest in. The school
system may be the partial cause of cheating. The system has so many practical
sessions that the student could not learn much at all, but to cheat to get
by.

In test, there are many good software that you can copy and paste your
notes on your desktop and then to your mobile phone. Goto

on the website, and view it anywhere on your mobile phone. If you do not have

Back in the early 90s, when graphing calculators were still uncommon in school,
I borrowed my brother's calculator for a physics exam. I typed in all the
formulas that I needed to remember in a file, and did OK on the exam.
