...most of these are only 'rude' because Americans are so prudish and puritan.
'c***' is a much older word for a male bird than 'rooster' which was itself
invented because Americans thought 'c***' too rude.

'Fag*' or 'Fag*ot' is
only rude because yanks changed a word's meaning to make it a derogatory word
for homosexual.

Once yanks realise that words had meanings before they gave
them new ones then most of these cease to be rude.

Some of us prudish Americans realize that these words have other, older
meanings. Doesn't mean we can't have a slight chuckle at product naming at
times.
Where did puritans come from, again? Lighten up, the prudish Americans
can do it, so can you.

As a prudish American I know they have other meanings, as do most of us. Yet,
like you said Steve they have other more amusing meanings when used for products
such as these. Can't we enjoy the different meanings or is that why you say we
are so puritan and prudish? Which by the way if we were being prudish we
wouldn't find it amusing even as Americans. So lighten up and have a laugh at
the other meanings of the words it can brighten your day when you just need a
little laugh.

Why fagg0ts? They've been around for centuries here in England, the native
country of English. Using that word for it's derrogatory meaning was done by
Americans and only very recently has made it's way back here. And fags more
commonly means cigarettes here anyway.
